- What is MeanLedger?
- MeanLedger is the operational ledger and CRM engine for the Steepworks ecosystem. It handles billing, subscriptions, payments, and customer support across multiple apps like Wizzist, Steepworks, and Colter.
- How does multi-tenant architecture work?
- Each app (tenant) in the Steepworks ecosystem gets its own isolated SQLite database. This ensures complete data separation, security, and independent scaling. A global database manages tenant metadata and API keys.
- What is event-based metering?
- Steepworks sends usage events (token usage, API calls, workflow executions) to MeanLedger in real-time. These events are automatically recorded, aggregated, and billed based on your subscription plan.
- Do you integrate with Stripe?
- Yes! MeanLedger has native Stripe integration for payment processing, subscription management, invoice generation, and automatic billing. All payment data is securely handled through Stripe.
- What subscription plans do you offer?
- We offer Starter ($49/tenant/month), Pro ($199/tenant/month), and Enterprise (custom pricing). Each plan includes different event limits, support levels, and features. Check our Plans page for details.
- Can I track usage across multiple apps?
- Absolutely! That's what MeanLedger is built for. Each app gets its own tenant with isolated billing and customer data, but you can manage them all from a single platform.
- What kind of support do you offer?
- Starter plans include email support. Pro plans get priority support and a dedicated Slack channel. Enterprise plans include 24/7 support and a dedicated account manager.
- Is my data secure?
- Yes. MeanLedger uses tenant isolation (separate databases per app), encrypted API keys with BCrypt, and follows security best practices. All payment data is handled by Stripe, not stored on our servers.
- Can I export my data?
- Yes! You have full access to your data through our API. You can export accounts, subscriptions, invoices, events, and all other data at any time.
- How do I get started?
- Choose a plan that fits your needs, and we'll set up your first tenant. You'll receive API credentials to integrate with Steepworks or your custom app. Full documentation and support are included.
